Whenever you pop in to VISIT this lovely BLOG, you can just glance over to your left to catch up on the lastest ART NEWS.

Last year, I spoke a touch about Damien Hirst and his Exhibition, "Beautiful Inside My Head Forever". London hosted a sale at Sotheby's which saw collectors pay a record 111 million pounds for Hirst's trademark animal corpses and butterfly paintings.

So what exactly is going on TODAY in the ART WORLD over in London? We'll let you know soon. In the meantime...

What's this thing called ART?

British Artist Damien Hirst
ART SCULPTURE: "The Incredible Journey"
Photographer: Shaun Curry

You know ART has a way of really grabbing a hold of you, and making you just feel so GOOD!

Every day is a NEW DAY when you take ART into consideration as you VIEW the world. ART is EVERYWHERE! You can't get around it.

SEEing as how you know how much I LOVE ART, I thought I'd share an interesting ART sculpture with you, and an article on the interesting ARTIST who made it. Here's the VIEW . . .

Damien Hirst, a British ARTIST in front of his magnificent artwork, "The Incredible Journey"
during a photocall at Sotheby's in London.

The Sydney Morning Herald did a wonderful story on Damien. John McDonald wrote about how Damien Hirst collaborated with Sotheby's to stage a two-day auction of 223 new works that netted £111.4 million ($245.6 million).

That event, which went by the alluring title Beautiful Inside My Head Forever, has generated an avalanche of comment and publicity.

And they say that ARTISTS starve . . . I beg to differ. Okay, maybe 'beg' isn't the right word to use. Ask Damien if that is true. . . 'ARTISTS starve' . . . HA! ~ I think NOT. And, I'd wager to say that Damien would agree with me.

Rainy Days . . .

Some rainy days bring peace. They are refreshing ~ smoothe and easy. There is nothing like peaceful rain.

Then there are rainy days of the mind. When tearful moments cleanse us. Pouring water on the soul has to come from within you know. These moments come at unexpected times sometimes. These moments are not at all like M-n-M Moments . . .

M-n-M Moments -- these are "menopausal & mind moments" that attack those around us. They leap out and strike at unsuspecting times. This just doesn't come about from women, but men too are menopausal at times. Such a scary world WE live in ~ never knowing who might be menopausal.

I'm not sure if it is better to run into someone who is having a M-n-M Moment, or someone who is just plain C~R~A~z~Y. It is so hard to tell the difference between the two.

I have a few tales to share with you all ~ BE BACK!

Politics ~ What is Saturday Night Live Sayin?!

Joseph Robinette "Joe" Biden, Jr.
Democratic VP Nominee

Sarah Louise Heath Palin
Republican VP Nominee

After buzzing around looking at BLOGS, I found a couple of wonderful BLOGS that had the word "politics" in them, and I noticed that I didn't RUN. Why? ~ because there were a couple of LINKS that made me roll with laughter!

Although, I must say, Biden is "the man", and Saturday Night Live needs to find someone who looks more like him. What do you all think?

. . .Well, you can tell me after you take a look at the LINKS.

Because, after
watching the following LINKS from Saturday Night Live. Especially after SEEing the real VP Nominee Debate -- WAIT . . . maybe that wasn't the right word choice -- "real" . . . I just couldn't get over the likeness of Palin ~ especially with her body language and demeanor. Hahahahh! So funny! What a doll. . . . I mean, I really came away from watching those videos smiling!

Queen Latifah was sooooo funny! ~ You'll SEE.

WE ALL need something to LAUGH about when it comes to what is going on in the world of POLITICS ~ SERIOUSLY. Because some folks seem to be laughing all the way to the BANK . . . I think it is time that WE do the same -- WE should be lined up for our portion of the $700 billion dollar bail~out ~ are YOU with me? LET'S GO! . . .

But before WE go, and before you watch the VIDEOS from Saturday Night LIVE, keep in mind the question I asked YOU . . . which is more along the lines of REALITY? The "real" debate, the "real" interview?

or SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!!!

ENJOY! ~

I'm BACK with M-n-M Moments . . .

Alright, I was talking about M-n-M Moments . . .

I wanted to give you an couple of examples ~ and I know they will ring a bell inside of many of you. Seeing as how everyone is intently LISTENING now, here WE go ~

Just keep in mind that M-n-M Moments don't let you walk up on them, they come and walk up on YOU!

Of course, YOU are not the type to have one of those moments, it is always someone else having the M-n-M Moment. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the prior BLOG post.

Those M-n-M people
will tip up on you, and unload their frame of mind, position of spirit, hands of DRAMA, and movement of tongue. It is a bizzare world WE live in, and it is liable to happen at any time, and in any place, and without WARNING. So BE READY!

Here is an example of a M-n-M Moment I recently experienced:

I was having a very typical telephone conversation with one other individual (who will go un~named) ... when SUDDENLY, they just made this horrific sound like a monster from the BAIL~OUT Lagoon. Ever heard a sound like that? Well, trust me, you don't want to. It was really strange ~ weird ~ almost the kind of sound that makes your skin crawl, and your hair stand on end -- picture that -- [and it wasn't the kind of sound that makes you go hmmmm either]. The GENDER ~ MALE. M-n-M Moment or C~r~A~z~Y!? You be the judge.

Then, on another occasion, I was minding my own business, when a woman walked up to me, and into my Office space, to inform me that she couldn't take it any more . . . WHY? Because my perfume was making her sick! She was red as a HOT stove eye, and she had this crazed look in her eye. Okay ~ but get this . . .

I wasn't wearing any perfume.

Hmmmmmm ~ M-n-M Moment or C~r~A~Z~Y!?

Here's my CONCLUSION to the problem:

Wear EAR plugs ~ Cover your EYES --

And, if possible, find a nice sofa to relax on ~ You'll need it if you run into a whole lot of these M-n-M Moments or C~R~a~Z~e~D and D~a~Z~e~D individuals.

And REMEMBER ~ keep your feet in motion . . . you may need to use them!

PEACE OUT ~
René
